    NOOK WON'T TURN ON

      MY NOOK HD WILL NOT TURN ON. WHEN IT IS PLUGGED IN  THE LIGHT STAYS ON GREEN AND THEN FLASHES GREEN&ORANGE. HAVE TRIED SO MANY WAYS TO FIX IT BUT NOTHING WORKS.  THIS HAPPENED BACK IN FEBRUARY AND I'VE BEEN WORKING ON IT SINCE THEN.TOOK IT TO B&N & COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT. THEY EVEN TALKED TO SOMEONE ON THE PHONE.

          Did they offer to replace it for you? If you are within the warranty period, and took it to B&N and they couldn't figure it out, I would ask for a replacement. I believe there is a one year warranty.

            I am having the same issue. My NOOK HD+ was working fine on Sunday, but when I went to use it Monday evening it wouldn't turn on.

             

            I am so disappointed in B&N and their NOOK device/support. I have owned my NOOK for only a year and a half! The store couldn’t do anything for me, other than refer me to an 800 number. The person at the 800 number told me I would need to call back in a week or two to inquire about the ‘Out of Warranty Trade-In” program. That they just released the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4Nook and no longer sell the NOOK HD+. So, they are not sure when exactly the trade-in program will start. Pretty much, if you have any NOOK outside the “newest and greatest” there is no support for it. When I view it on my online account or try to chat live with someone, no option is available for the older NOOK devices. Only going through the 800 number. I am very disappointed my NOOK kicked the bucket after a year and a half! Ridiculous is what I say! Not sure if I even want another NOOK. Very disappointed and upset! If B&N cannot handle the support of these devices, then they need to contract out with a company that can. Maybe that is why Samsung is the new NOOK branding name.
