    Downloaded Movies

Thanks to DVD Catalyst I was able to download eight movies so far.  However, I've stumbled upon a problem.  I just noticed that the movies downloaded in the gallery as well.  How can I delete the movies from the gallery and not delete the movies in the video file?  Please help.

Gallery picks up all the video files on your device, so unfortunately there is no way to hide them.

For other Android devices, there is a trick to put your movies in a folder and create a blank file with the name ".nomedia" (without the quotes) but I have not tested this with the NOOKcolor.

Can I ask where you are downloading movies from please?  I have the DVD catalyst too but I thought you could only convert from a DVD not a download?

DVD Catalyst can convert from DVD as well as most video formats, including MKV, DIVX, AVI etc.

The "downloading" Marann246 mentioned was likely along the lines of putting the created video files on the NOOK, not from downloading the movies from the internet.

There are not many legal sources on the internet to download movies from, but you can visit www.archive.org to obtain a lot of out-of-copyright content such as movies and TV shows (the mp4 links they have will actually stream if you visit the site on your NOOK) as well as books in various formats.

To give you some examples-I have converted DVDs, home videos, game trailers from my PS3, youtube videos, and other types of movies, all successful and for various reasons.

I have a TV tuner card in my computer that acts like a DVR. I record tv shows and then copy them over to my Nook Color to watch later. I record them in .mpg and have to convert them over to .mp4, but it isn't hard and looks great on the NC!

I put mine on a SD card and just pop the card in.
