    Home Library

In my home library I have 5000+ books, they are on a data base which triple cross references them , Author, title, and location. My question is, Can I put this data base on my color nook so I can check if I have a book already or need a book for my collection. also is there a "LIST" of the books available in the color Nook books?

I'm not quite sure about what you are asking, but I'll take a stab at it.

The nook color can read xml spreadsheets, but they are read-only. You cannot change information within the cells. The Quick Office application is used to view spreadsheets, but it is pretty simplistic.

If you make your list into a PDF or EPUB document I don't see why you  wouldn't be able to put it on your NC.  But I'm no expperrtt on these things.  Someone with more knowledge should be along to tell you for sure.

As for the list of all available books for the NC, I have no idea.

You cannot search a pdf document.

Ah, I see.  I've never used the search function on my NC.  I am a throwback, I was thinking more oof a manual search.  Having the list in alphabetical order and paging thru the list until you get to the page that has (or doesn't have) the bbook you are looking for.

Very ineficiant I get, but that is the way I am used to. :smileyhappy:

Yup, that's one of the limitations of the Quick Office software. We're all hoping for better pdf support in the next update so pdf files will work like they do on the computer. You can't highlight or annotate a pdf file either in the current version of the pdf reader.

Could save as an .html file and copy it to the NC, which would be searchable in its web-browser.

I would like the option to be able to print out the list of books I have purchased/downloaded from B&N.  Developers could that be a future enhancement please??
