The Official Nook Press Programmer Is Back From His Four-Day Weekend

It looks like the problem that some here have complained about since Thursday, not being able to get their book actually published, has been fixed.

A book that I tried to publish on Pubit on Sunday, in which every time I clicked on the "Publish" button I got a "We are experiencing technical difficulties" message, now says the standard messages, "Your book is on its way!" and "Processing."

Now the problem is UNfixed. Today I submitted my book (again) -- only to see an hours-long "Processing" message. Just hours before deadline -- currently it's 11 p.m. EDT on July 9 (3 a.m. GMT, July 10) -- I'm still seeing the "Processing" tag. If my new book is still quote-unquote processing when Pubit gets vaporized, I won't resubmit. I will be good goddamned if I submit an EPUBCHECK-blessed file to B&N, only to see Nook Press's buggy software corrupt the file.
