    "A Known Issue"? I have no books showing of 252 in my library. Can not use my Nook.

      I received my Nook about a year ago and became quickly "somewhat" addicted. It was always with me and I always had a book in process. It froze up and would not work about three weeks ago so I contacted Barnes & Noble support. They got a new Nook out to me at no charge in short order.

       

      The issue is that there is a software glitch (affecting thousands of Nook owners apparently). They call it a "known issue" that prevents me from downloading my library to my Nook or from even downloading a single book - so I could at least use my Nook while the issue is resolved...

       

      EsEssentiallyI am NoNook-less for about three weeks now. I was told it would be fixed by yesterday so I waited. Not fixed. So, I called today only to be told to call again tomorrow. I don't have any idea when this will be resolved. I am NOT a happy camper.

       

      I am disabled and my Nook has become important to me. I am told this issue is restricted to Simple Touch and the Simple Touch with the GloGlow lightf this continues, it makes sense they should upgrade my Nook to a version that actually works. I was told by customer service that it might be possible to upgrade to a Nook color for $100.00 - back when they were $169.00. They are now $149.00 so it seems I should be able to upgrade for $80.00 but the option no longer seems open to me.

       

      Barnes and Noble - let's do the right thing here and make sure I have a Nook that actually works - Much sooner rather than later???

          I'm sorry to report that it is a known issue. Do you have access to a computer that can run the NOOK app? You can apparently still access your library that way, and at least sideload some books until they fix it.

              Not entirely true....

               

              I have not received my daily newspaper today on my NookColor (did yesterday).   I tried my NST Glow and did not have it there either.   I loaded my Nook for PC and todays paper shows, but I cannot download it (the message says you cannot read it on that device - my PC).   So I dusted off my N1E 3G and the paper downloaded.

               

              So not everything can be sideloaded - bad enough if it was a book, but a newspaper is time sensitive so if B&N takes a week to fix the problem, then what good is a week old paper to someone who did not keep their N1E or never owned one......

               

              My library of books (319, but who's counting) appear to be on all devices.....

                  This was a true statement when Bobstro made it.  The issues with the other devices just began today.

                Evidently, it's a "known issue" with all nook devices. I have a NT and a NC and the only place I can download my purchased books from today is the Nook for PC app. Syncing the books in my library on those 2 devices does not show up. Don't know about my NST, as I keep the wifi off on that and just sideload books for my spouse to read. (He's out of town, can't check.) However, no further purchases until this is fixed.
