I have a couple of questions re my new Nook Color.
1. Is anybody else having trouble with websites never loading? I am often getting the searching icon, but it just goes and goes, and nothing ever loads. I can't go back, or out. I just end up turning the nook off and restarting, but what a pain.
In the web browser pull down the options menu and check your settings, other than that and checking your wifi I can't help much with this issue. Sorry.
2. I feel like an idiot for asking, but: I can't seem to find the Daily Find or the Free Friday books listed on my nook when I use the shop function. I have to go the BN website (on my home computer, not on the nook itself cuz it freezes if I go there) to see it and order it from there. Am I missing something obvious? My Nook First edition always listed the Free Friday book without my having to search for it.
There is no daily on the NC, free Fridays must be found on the unbound blog, facebook or one of the many other threads that list them every week.
3. I am passing on my First Edition to my mother in law, but when I ordered a book I know she'd like (on the First Edition) , the book ended up on MY nook tablet, not the First Edition. I was of the understanding that I could keep and use both Nooks.
It should show up on all devises registered to the same account. Make sure you turn on wifi and sync. We have 3 nooks and all purchases show up all 3 places including the apps.
I love my new tablet, though as a left handed person I kinda miss the page buttons. Now I have to reach my left hand across the text to turn a page. Lefty-friendliness was one of the reasons I chose the Nook over the Kindle in the first place...
You do not need to swipe to turn pages a simple tap on the edge will turn the page for you, I can just reach my thumb over a bit and tap near the side.
Thanks for your input, I appreciate the help.
With your new purchases not showing up on this device but are showing up on the other and your web not loading,Ii would check your wifi connection. If possible see if it works in store.
