    unable to download to nook

I have just purchased a Nook, I have had it for 4 days and have not been able to get a single book on it. I thought that I could use wifi at work, only to find I had to have a password! So I registered it while sitting in MacDonalds (free wifi!) and thought when I get home, I will download books (we live in the country, no wifi anywhere here). I went to Kobobooks and made a purchase, but have not been able to download it. I click on the Adobe, DRM, EPUB link, a message pops up at the bottom of the screen

"Do you want to open or save “URLLink.acsm (1.24kb) from acs4.shortcovers.com". I click open and then get another window opening, that reads “Adobe Reader could not open "URLLink.acsm" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (eg. it was sent as an email attachment and wasnt correctly decoded)".
I have tried to also save the URLLink.acsm, which saves to my C drive in downloads, but when I try to open thru that, I get the same Adobe message.

Last night I downloaded ADE Adobe Digital Editions, but the same problem occurs.

Is anyone able to help me, I am getting desperate to read a book!
