    Problems after 1.3 update

      Has anyone else experience problems after the recent update? After my NC updated to 1.3 I can't download any apps! It says that the app memory is low. I deleted and archived alot of books and apps that I don't use, but it has not helped. I still can't download any new apps or books. Please help!!

          I've noticed my NookColor is significantly slower after the update.  And my apps such as Angry Birds cause the device to completely freeze requiring me to turn it off then back on and go back to books.  I was able to download books on Friday but have not tried to download any apps since the update.  I have 91% memory free.

            Did you perform the hard reboot? I had to do it 3 times in a row to fix a browser issue after 1.3. You can perform the hard reboot by holding power button down and the "n" buttton down at the same time for few seconds until you see a new screen with a button "Power Off". Tap that button, wait until the device is copletely off, then turn it on.

                I just tried the hard reboot 2 times and it is still not working. I will try it a few more times, I really need this for school. I guess if this doesn't work I will take it to B&N later on today. I just got it in April, so it's not that old.Is there any way that the update can be undone?

                  I have been experiencing problems with my browser locking everything (post 1.3).  Have rebooted twice and problem has not occurred, but then again I don't think I used the browser...I'll be more observant in the next day or two...thx

                  How old or new is your NC? Older ones have a different drive partitioning scheme that has much less room for apps, but a lot of room for sideloaded material. Newer ones have different partitions so you can download more apps. Older ones can be re-partitioned at BN stores. Doing so will wipe your content so if you want it done, back stuff up. What also happens is all your BN content will become hidden from view when you connect the NC to your computer. With older NCs with the old partitions you can see most BN content and can back up magazines, ebooks and enhanced ebooks to your pc. With the new scheme you ca't. Of course you can download your standard ebooks from your BN account to your computer, but you can't download magazines and enhanced books. Just so you know. If your NC is newer then the problem may be too many apps somehow and you may need to archive some.
