I've seen the shop or app pages fail to load a few times today. (Lately, I usually get "Sorry, no results" when I click the green button to see more on the app screen, but when I use the Browse menu to go to Apps, then it loads. Does that sound familiar?) I think that may still be a bit of overload from eager people shopping for new apps. Was the rest of the nook lagging, or just the shop?
Magazines tend to load slowly. They're big files. I would expect them to take several minutes at a minimum. If multiple ones are going at once, then it can multiply that. The nook tends to automatically start 5 downloads, and it can do up to 6 at a time, but beyond that, you have to wait for one to finish before you can start another. Maybe the magazines, which can take a long time, started and are taking up all the "download" slots so that the apps can't get back onto your device yet?
I am not sure about the password part. I just turned mine on and off again okay. Maybe it's somehow "stuck" while downloading ... ? Hope it works itself out in the meantime!
Hey there, yeah my whole nook seems to be more slower than usual. I'm still unable to install my apps. Not even one at a time. It just shows the app and the button "install", but when I try to install it doesn't do anything.

There is most likely a lot of lag due to users on the system. This has always happened both with the classic nook and the NC. At Christmas the system really bogged down due to way more users than expected-due to way more sales than expected. Weekends are always slow when connecting to the shop, and when you are downloading a book or a magazine, you are connecting to the shop. I would guess it is especially busy right now with users checking out and buying apps as well as all the other things on top of it being a weekend. I would also say to try rebooting-turning completely off and on and if it persists, contact tech support, but try to do it in what might be less busy hours and by phone, not email or go to a store in person.
But, I truly think this is due to a lot of users being on the servers all at once. Kind of like when a website is busy and you get the "try again later" message.
I've been having problems with my nookcolor ever since I updated to 1.2. The connection is really slow. The Apps store doesn't even load neither does the rest of the shopping list.
I restored to factory and re-registered and now my apps that I have bought won't install, and my magazines are taking forever to download.
I don't know but wonder if you re-installed 1.1 and then re-installed 1.2 or what did you do after de-registering. And actually this may all be due to what I stated in my last post-the system is probably extremely busy right now.
