There's a new Jacqueline Carey book coming out which I pre-ordered in hardback. Now, of course, I want it on eBook. Searching B&N turns up nothing - is it a general rule of thumb that all new hardbacks come on eBook later? All of her other novels are available and she's using the same publisher.
As a general rule, the major publishers are releasing e-books simultaneously with the hardcovers. Typical e-book price is 50% of hardcover list (usually $12.99), but there definitely is some variance.
It's very likely, but not guaranteed, that B&N, Sony, and Kobo (at least) will have that title for NOOK on or shortly after that date, at the same price.
I don't understand why hardcovers are released and then it takes a week to be available on ebooks???
