When reading a magazine and I tap the middle of the page for the TOC menu, it takes several tap attempts to get the menu to pop up. Maybe 6 or more taps. Same thing to get it to go away. Everything else like page turning is very responsive. Anyone else experience this?
- Yes, have experienced this too. But it's not consistent. At least 51% of the time, it works fine, single tap to pop up and go away. Sometimes it'll required two or three. Maybe 10% of the time it'll take over five.
- When the TOC won't disappear after a couple taps, will sometimes instead tap the "return to last book" icon at the bottom. That seems to *always* work. (Paging left/right also makes the TOC disappear.) But will usually try tapping first (hope springs eternal). Whether will keep tap tap tapping or use "return to last" depends on mood and frustration level.
Interesting. Perhaps the level of responsiveness depends upon the magazine? Perhaps the length and/or complexity of the magazine file?
[EDIT] I just bought a different magazine (Forbes - single issue 1.99, subscription 2.49/mo? funny). It's about 115 pages and it responds very well to the center tap. The sluggish mag is Reader's Digest which is 191 pages.
