Why not follow the directions on n2a site? Or follow the forum over there? Last thread about this was closed last week. Don't think they like us discussing it on here

What is the real benefit of this card?  I know it can access the other markets... But if that doesnt matter to me, what other advantages are there?  Is stock Android better than the Nook skin?

I have the 32GB SD card that I downloaded for the Nook HD+, I also have an 8GB SD card that I purchased from them for the NookColor.  The download is easy to do but if you don't feel comfortable than go ahead and order the card.  I loved my Nook's before I got the cards, but I love them even more with the full android experience on the N2A cards.

The biggest difference is being able to get the apps you want that are not offered by B&N.  I absolutley love being able to use my Nook to text with the MightyText tablet app.  This way when I'm home I don't have to have my phone with me at all times.

When you buy the download, you get an executable file that runs and does all the work for you building the image on your card. It's pretty simple. It does take quite a while to run, though, and the bigger the card the longer it takes -- it's 2 hours for a 64GB and about half that for a 32GB. For the HD+ image, you will need to have a card reader on your PC -- writing the image direct to the Nook doesn't work. Also, if you get the 64GB card be aware that many card readers don't support 64GB and you might need to buy a new reader that does. ($7-8 on Amazon.)
