I'm confused. Are you having problems with your Nook and the SD card or your phone and the SD card?
If it's your Nook that won't boot with the card, take out the card and boot it that way. It could be reading the reminants of something on the SD card if you have used it in other devices.
If it's your phone you are having problems with then I think you should take that up with either your cell phone carrier or whoever you bought the phone from - or try there user support boards if they have one.
I just got a Nook Color. It works fine except it gets stuck on 'Read Forever' when a microsd card is inserted. My first card was a 16g Class 4 that I reformatted on my computer after using on my phone for the last few months. Fat32, full format. Today I got a Sandisk 4g Class 4 that the NC seems to like the best, with the same result.
I just did the 8 failed boots, reset. No change. I haven't been able to Google up anything else to try. OS 1.2. None of my own content on the phone. Does this sound like a hardware issue? If yes, do I drop into any store for help with this? The phone is 5 days old.
Thanks for any help.
Boot the NC without the SD card in it. While the NC is on, insert the SD card and let the NC format it.
If that doesn't work, you have a hardware issue, contact B&N, every NC out so far is still under warranty.
