    Extreme Fear book prices

I was checking this book out (author Jeff Wise) for purchase and here is what I see for prices on BN:

      Paperback: $10.80

      Hard cover: $16.20

      e-Book: $27.00

I would really love to here an explanation on how an e-book costs over $10 then a hard cover book.

Many publishers are inflating ebook prices to "encourage" readers to stick with paper books because in their current business model, they earn more on a paper book than on an ebook. I won't pay more for an ebook than I would for a mass market paperback. JMO

I agree:  massively inflated eBook prices appear to be intended to divert sales to the DTB versions of the same titles.  "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ..."  :smileywink:

I sent an e-mail to BN two days ago asking about the pricing, still awaiting a response. In the mean time I checked on Amazon to see that the prices looked like for the same book.

                  Paper back: $10.65

                  Hard cover: $14.21

                  E-Book: $9.99

Guess I should have bought a Kindle to save money on e-books.
