    BN Get an update out again and fix this!! ...this is crazy!! and uncalled for!!!

      !!!!! Hubby built me a new computer and plugged my HD+ cord into the computer instead of the wall charger on the UPS!!! Aggghhh!!!

       

      All my shelves gone again!!! Dang blast it all!!!   I should not have to be afraid of having my device hooked up to a computer. I've also read that hooking it up will cause the HD+ to corrupt an sd card. Hubby feels like crap about it, but it's not his fault, this should not have happened and it's not something we should have to fear.

       

      BN get your crap together and get this fixed!!! We have been asking for another fix on this for awhile now...how long are we expected to wait?  I absolutley can NOT refer this to anybody else until this is fixed.

          oh crap...I forgot I did a drag and drop of my ADE books into a directory before he hooked me up to the new pc. Crap. don't know which one wiped out my shelves. Either way, it's still a royal pain in the !!!.

           

          And it still should not have happened.

           

          This has got to get fixed. How can BN just ignore this?

              I 100% whole heartedly agree with you. B&N needs to get off their assess and finally actually do something for their customers and fix this shelves issue. I love my HD+ but like you I should not be afraid to touch it for fear of loosing my shelves. Everytime I go into my library, shelves, or just simply open a book I cross my fingers, say a prayer and just hope that the shelves do not disappear AGAIN. 

               

              I work in computers and support a very large customer base. When my users call and complain about an issue I do everything in my power to resolve the issue. Now sometimes it does take some time but I update them regularly and let them know what is going on. B&N simply refuses to acknowledge that their precious "supposedly superior" device could have a flaw. For all of us customers that are complaining B&N buries their head in the sand and pretends that each complaint is just a One-Off and not an actual problem.

               

              Again I love my device and have loved the Nooks since they came out, they are so much bette than Kindles - well they were till now. They rushed this device to market, they didn't test anything, they just worked to beat out Amazon that is all. And I have now come to realize that like every other company today, B&N places money over it's customers.

               

              As with you, I can no longer recommend B&N Nooks to my friends or co-workers. They have significantly dropped in quality. A very sad story but a true one.

              In the meantime, I would suggest checking out Goodreads (I believe they have an app B&N's store). You might have to be connected to wifi to use them, but at least the shelves won't keep disappearing.

                I haven't heard this and I've never had it happen to me.

                 

                As for shelves, I keep all my books in Calibre and only load a couple books at a time. So, I don't use shelves. I guess it's a good thing I don't!
