    Nook Color and ADE...grrrrr

I am pulling my hair out and hope someone out there can help me please!!!

I have had my Nook Color for over a year and have purchased many books and frequently use my library for books also. I have never had a problem with downloading epubs and pdfs either.  However, a few days ago, I tried to load several new books (epubs) and for some reason I cannot do it.  When I try to open ADE it either suddenly closes and says it needs to shut down or it won't open the book at all.  If I click on item details in ADE the options are only open book or delete book. I click open and nothing happens.  I tried loading the books into the NC and they will not open there. I get a message that says can't open item.

I have tried deauthorizing ADE, deleting and reinstalling and even using a different computer and the same thing happens every time.  The NC won't open my old epubs either.  HELP!  I don't know what to do and am frustrated with my Nook which is making me very very leery to purchase a tablet.

Thanks for any and all help!!

Are you trying to open the book in ADE that's on the Nook or the copy on the computer?  It sounds like it's ADE issue.  Have you tried opening ADE without the Nook attached and see if you still have the problem?

Are they the actual epub files or are they ascm files? The ascm files expire pretty quickly and would have to be downloaded again. If they are the epub files can you download them from where you purchased them again?
