What does the label "Nook Comics" mean?

I know that it means that the book is a comic, but how do publishers get it to be labeled that? Is it just that when you publish, you call it a comic?

It's a specific file format (likely .cbz) that those books are published in. There are plenty of comics on the Nook published in .epub format that are simply labeled as "Nook Books" rather than "Nook Comics." Nook Comics have much higher rez images than the epub comics. I don't know how a publisher would go about getting their book labeled as such, though.
