Your nook will block any app not downloaded from the Barnes and Noble app store. You can't use any apps from any other place.
I am new to tablets and I have read a few topics on this already and just not really understanding it, so forgive me if this is a rehasing of old topics.
I recently purchased my wife a Nook HD. We wanted to download the Amazon app store in order to play a few games we really like from playing them before on my sisters. A few sites said I could download it but I need an SD card installed. I have it installed but still no luck. Any help?
What the sites were refering to is something like the product sold by AndoidForNook.com. It allows booting into Android (versus the Nook version of Android) and you can then load the Amazon app store app and use it when running in the Android mode. The Nook operating system is not touched in any way so you will not void your warranty by using such a product.
I am not affiliated with AndroidForNook.com. I am just a very satisfied customer.
