    US Dept. of Justice confirms they're investigating Agency Model


      The Wall Street Journal reports today that the US Department of Justice has confirmed that they're looking into the possibility of improper collusion between Apple and e-book publishers.

      The Wall Street Journal and other media have reported that the Justice Department has been investigating the matter since last year. However, Ms. Pozen's comments on Wednesday were the first time the Justice Department publicly confirmed the existence of the probe.

      The article goes on to recap a bunch of stuff we already know. So all that's really new is that the DoJ probe has moved from "reported" to "confirmed" status. In fact, the entirety of the news is based on a part of one sentence by DoJ's Sharis Pozen: "We are also investigating the electronic book industry..."
