    Agency Model Lending Club

Ok, I've never actually used the Lend Me feature on any of my eBooks.  But I went and read the Nook user guide and it seems pretty easy.  And apparently you can lend great distances - like people on this board could lend each other eBooks.  So if people here are interested, we could all post Agency Model books that we are interested in reading, but don't necessarily want to give our money to the Axis to buy them.  Or if you have finished an Agency Model book and you want to make it available, post it here.  Or send a PM to someone you think might like it.  Just another way to stick it to the Axis!

I personally am putting my considerable legal research talents to work to determine if removing the DRM that prevents multiple lending would be a violation of the Copyright Act or if it could be construed as FAIR USE.  Stay tuned...

I just finished "The Eye of the World" by Robert Jordan - the first book of the Wheel of Time series.  It's an agency model book (TOR is part of CrackMillan).

So if anyone wants to borrow it via the LendMe feature, hit me with a PM.  First come, first served.  My only request is that you mail a letter to John Sargent telling him that you borrowed it rather than bought it because of his poopy agency model pricing scheme.

I have Pandora's Daughter by Iris Johansen and Harmful Intent by Robin Cook currently available.

I also like the requirement that the publisher is notified that you borrowed the book due to increased pricing.

I have all these books (well the whole series in fact) in HC!  I hope you enjoy them the series is great (well it does get dull at times but is overall AMAZING)  The new book that just came out by Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorites

Yes, I've really enjoyed the whole series, too -- as you may have guessed from my Nook's name. :smileywink:

I agree with you on The Gathering Storm:  it was a lot stronger than I expected.  Jordan must have left a fairly complete manscript for Sanderson to work with when he died.  Let's hope that his notes lay the story he intended out right to the end.  There are still a lot of loose ends to tie up.

A Crown of Swords went on pre-order today at $7.99 -- the same price as several WoT volumes, pre-April 1.  An interesting development.  I wonder what it means.
