    When a new device with 8'' ??

6'' screen is to small for reading.

When do you create a new device of 8'' ?

      Thanks. :smileyhappy:

Sorry, dont see this happening any time soon. 6" seams to be the sweet spot for a e-book reader, its reading area is about the same as a paper back, my wife and daughter both take theres with them in there perce and mine fits great in a back poclet. any bigger and it would be harder to take with you plus while I dont fine it a problem, many woudnt like the extra weight a large reader would have

I hope never.  The N2E is essentially the size of a paperback book which in my mind is perfect.  Have you tried increasing the font size when reading?

I owned the Kindle DX for over a year and mostly loved it.  I remember really liking the reading experience on it, even with novels.  I suppose it was more like reading a large hardcover book than a smaller paperback.  The contrast seemed better than my wife's kindle 2, but that could be my imagination.  In any event, the negatives were comfort of handling.  It was just too heavy to hold comfortably in one hand and when reading lying down it often felt "top heavy" or something, wanting to fall over.  It was great for PDFs, though, and I normally loathe reading PDFs.

I sold it and bought the other end of the spectrum, the Sony prs-350 (pocket touch reader).  I love it for its portability (pants pocket for instance).  I ended up getting one of those lighted cases and it has served me well.  Really, the only problem I've had with it has been the reading light bothering my wife at night and the battery doesn't hold up nearly as well as my wife's kindle.  That's not a huge deal, but annoying.  It's also awfully small, requiring twice the page turns as the DX, for instance (probably a lot to do with the battery problem, come to think of it).

In any event, I am doing the Goldilocks thing and trying for a compromise, the Nook STG.  I ordered it 4-24 but it's showing 5-15 for shipping date.  I think it will be my new favorite.  Not too big, not too small...just right. (and the light as a nice bonus).

Sorry, I got rambly there.  I was just pointing out my own experience with the DX and Sony 350 as they were mentioned in this thread.

I personally would like a reader with a 7 inch screen.  A few more lines of text, almost identical to a paperback in total dimensions and page size, and smaller and lighter than an 8 inch screen. Of course, it would be best to lose about a half inch on the sides and top of the external border to keep it at the size of a paperback.
