    Error message 1015

      I am using NOOK for PC and I cannot open my book and the site just says that it is having technical difficulties (Download: 1015) this has been occuring for over a month now...what should i do.

          Please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-THE-BOOK (1-800-843-2665) and choose option 2 for Digital Support.  Please let us know if your issue was resolved.

            Connection issue, 1015 is classified in a general group of error codes. It typically means that the telephone connection between the sender and BN was terminated. The causes can vary but typically means the error exists either on the customers end or between the ISP and our own servers.

             

            If this continues, I would advise you contact your internet provider.

              If you are trying to log on from behind a firewall (for example, at work), you may receive this error. Try connecting from home or with another internet service that does not have firewall restrictions and it should work fine.

                Did you ever get this resolved?  If so, please share how!  My nookcolor has had no problems up until now, but suddenly I'm getting this 1015 error trying to download the book I want.  And I know it's not a problem with my ISP, because everything else is working fine, and nook was downloading just fine only a few hours ago.  *sigh*

                  I changed my firewall settings to no avail. Also tried downloading the books at a coffeshop and still got the same result. Yet other books downloaded with no problems.....

                    Same problem here. Some books download to Nook for PC, others get the 1015 error message. Seems odd the BN hasn't fixed this glitch by now.

                      Barnes & Noble Support -- Is there an update on this issue?  I am running into the same problem.  Some books download fine, but some won't download and instead display the 1015 message.  Same ISP, same firewall settings, same results no matter how often I try again.
