DS on Nook Tablet-Anyone Else Notice This

I apologize for the formatting. I posted via Nook Tablet and now formatting gone Happy Holidays (except for my nook issues that began yesterday) Today I was at the BN website via my Nook tablet. And up popped an AD on the screen. It was a Macys ad about intimate wear and had pics of barely clothed guys and gals! Wasnt a big selling point of Nook tablet is that it did not have Ads like the Kindle Fire?? That is one reason I went with Nook Now I'm not sure Both my Nook Tablet and NST having major issues starting yesterday 12/24 (I discussed these in separate posts) Is anyone else seeing ads or having new issues with Nook Tablet or NST? Ive had both devices for over a month. I spent time resolving some issues and they were both running smoothly until yesterday. Both began yesterday 12/24. Plan was to give 7yr old son NST this am, but now holding off because of issues with both devices. Very disappointing since that was to be his big gift

If you are looking at the B&N website in the browser, you will see the regular B&N website, just like you would see it on your PC. If there are any ads on the B&N website, you will of course see them if you look at the website using the Nook browser. Just as with any other website.

Amazon has ads intergrated in the Kindle firmware, that you see (I believe) down on the screen when you are not reading a book, or as screensaver. B&N does not have this.

The NST does not have a browser (since the latest 1.1 firmware), so you can give the NST to your son without a problem.

Remember if the NST is registered to your account, your son will see al your books. Create a new account for your son, and register the NST to that account. You can password protect shop purchases on the NST.

              Thanks for the clarification.

Also, I realized that I had a Typo in the Subject Header.  I meant to ask if anyone noticed ADS, not DS.  I apologize.

There aren't any ads on the Kindle Fire.
