This is free - however, if you search on the title you'll find a $9.99 edition, so use the "complimentary edition" link below. Found this on Books on the Knob.

Life's a Beach (Complimentary Edition) by Claire Cook http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Lifes-a-Beach-Complimentary-Edition/Claire-Cook/e/9781401342760

From the author of BEST STAGED PLANS comes a limited-time offer: LIFE’ S A BEACH, COMPLIMENTARY EDITION This eBook includes a special preview chapter of BEST STAGED PLANS, available 6/7/2011 wherever books are sold. About LIFE’ S A BEACH: By the bestselling author of Must Love Dogs, the story of two grown-up sisters who fight like cats and dogs -- but call each other at least twice a day Luckily for her legions of fans, Claire Cook returns with another sparkling romantic comedy that's reminiscent of Must Love Dogs in all the right ways, but very much its own animal -- about a relationship-challenged single woman, her quirky-to-put-it-mildly extended family, and the summer the shark movie came to town. Life's a bit of a beach these days for Ginger Walsh, who's single at forty-one and living back home in the family FROG (Finished Room Over Garage). She's hoping for a more fulfilling life as a sea glass artist, but instead is babysitting her sister's kids and sharing overnights with Noah, her sexy artist boyfriend with commitment issues and a dog Ginger's cat isn't too crazy about. Geri, her BlackBerry-obsessed sister, is also nearly over the deep end about her pending fiftieth birthday (and might just drag Ginger with her). Toss in a dumpster-picking father, a Kama Sutra T-shirt-wearing mother, a movie crew come to town with a very cute gaffer, an on-again-off-again glassblower boyfriend, plus a couple of Red Hat realtors, and hilarity ensues. The perfect summer read, Life's a Beach is a warm, witty, and wise look at what it takes to move forward at any stage in life.

            Hi All,

Are the number of free Nookbooks decreasing this drastically, or is this thread kind of dying down due to lack of time/input? I check daily, but if the thread is not being updated, perhaps there is another way to keep up to date on the free offerings?

Thanks to all who have been contributing in the past - you've made many happy times!

Miss You Most of All  by Elizabeth Bass (Kensington Publishing, May 2011)

              From the Publisher:

Few things are as lasting as the bond between sisters. In her poignant debut, Elizabeth Bass explores the lengths one cobbled-together family will go to for each other. . .

Sassy Spinster Farm is a place to find solace. At least, that's what it's become since Rue and her sister, Laura, transformed their childhood Texas homestead into a successful tourist destination. It's where Rue is raising her pre-teen daughter on her own--while trying to keep her outspoken sister in check. It's not easy, but together, it seems there's nothing the two can't handle--until an unexpected, and not entirely welcome guest shows up in the middle of one warm summer night.

Moving and uplifting, here is a beautifully written novel about the bonds we are born into and those we create for ourselves--and of the strength that comes in loving without limits.

              "Completely wonderful." -Beth Harbison

"Funny, poignant, and deeply satisfying." --Nancy Thayer

"A deliciously great book." --Cathy Lamb

The Deadliest Sin  by Caroline Richards (Kensington Publishing, Sep 2010)

              From the Publisher:

              Dark Dreams

They had haunted Julia Woolcott all her life, but the strangest of all began with an invitation to a scandalous house party, and a game more dangerously arousing than any she'd ever imagined.

              Unbound Desires

Driven by his ruthless ambition, Alexander Strathmore would do anything to come face to face with the mystery man who'd challenged him to first debauch Julia, then destroy her.

              Deadly Sins

A wild shot...a frantic carriage ride through the night...a forbidden seduction. Rakehell adventurer and sheltered spinster, Alexander and Julia will break every rule of propriety to chase down their nemesis and consummate their unlikely passion.

"A finely wrought tale, rife with twisting secrets and dangerous hungers. Exquisite!"—Sylvia Day, National Bestselling Author

You will find the H series of thrillers different.
The first is different, but the others will be like nothing you have ever read before......

H is the nickname for James James who we join as he starts on his road, building a business that will take him far away from his past....

H deals with all obstacles, including his enemies, with ruthless determination.
The inventiveness with which he disposes of his rivals features largely and the brutality can at times be extreme.

However H has a natural empathy for the weak and vulnerable which provides the motivation for much of his brutality and cruelty.

This caring side of H endears him to Benshima, an equally intriguing personality
The H books abound with an amazing cast of colourful, rounded but often deeply flawed characters; and throughout a strand of dark, ironic humour that keeps you involved until the very last page......

When Libby's husband Greg fails to return from a two-week canoe trip to the Canadian wilderness, the authorities soon write off his disappearance as an unhappy husband's escape from an empty marriage and unrewarding career. Their marriage might have survived if their daughter Lacey hadn't died . . . and if Greg hadn't been responsible. Libby enlists the aid of her wilderness savvy father-in-law and her faith-walking best friend to help her search for clues to her husband's disappearance . . . if for no other reason than to free her to move on.
