Nook hd+ vs. Nook Tablet - Video files

I have a Nook Tablet and love it. I read a lot but like to play video files ,mp4 from time to time but my nook does not play files over 2gb in size. Does the new Nook Tablet hd+ have the same issue? Will it play video files 2gb or over ???

2GB may be a limitation of the processor... A 32-bit processor/file-system can access unsigned 4GB, but when using signed arithmetic that becomes -2GB to +2GB.

Things like the Zoom H2n field recorder automatically splits the recording when 2GB is reached (around 3hours for stereo audio)

Haven't really tried much video on the HD+, but it seems to play a 2.65 GB MP4 file without a problem - don't have any idea what the upper limit might be.
