    BLIO APP

    vinnyc

Have any of you used "BLIO"? I just discovered this while searching for APPS. I just bought my NC less than 2 weeks ago and I am thinking about getting an N2A card. The BLIO website states that an ANDROID version is "coming soon" but I read that it is already in the ANDROID Market (haven't checked) this app looks very cool.

      Any info. would be appreciated

      Thanks,

      Vinny

BLIO is already available in the Market, and has been for 3 or 4 weeks.

Since BLIO offers it's own bookstore, I doubt we'll see it coming to the NC App Shop any time soon.

I haven't used it yet, mainly because they initially claimed it would support both PDFs and ePUBs, and it did neither.  When it came out, all it would open were XPS docs... basically the books they were selling.

ePUB has now been added though, so I should take a look.  Thanks for reminding me.

              Thanks, Mark:

I have done more research since posting this thread. It looks like this app is for a proprietary file (XPS as you mentioned) and you have to buy from their book store, which is expensive.  I did read that ePUB was coming. Will keep an eye on this.

              Thanks,

              Vinny

Ah, great.  So in spite of the fact that their website claims ePub is already supported, that's yet another "promise for the future".  I detect a pattern with this company that I do not like.  All their pre-release hype was very different from what they actually delivered.

Thanks for saving me some time.
