    Calvin and Hobbes

    Wayfarer58

      Greetings!

Yesterday I purchased the three Calvin and Hobbes books that became available for Nook (and other platforms). I downloaded them successfully to my Nook and can read them with no problems. However, they don't download to the Nook app on my computer, phone, or tablet. Not only that, when I look for them in the store via the app, they can't be found. Is this standard? Why?

Looking at the page for the NOOK version of "The Authoritative Calvin and Hobbes", I see a note specifically stating that it will only work on NOOK devices and not desktop apps. It must be one of the enhanced ebooks that only run on NOOKs.

I hadn't noticed that note when purchasing the ebooks. Ah well, on my Nook is far better than not having them at all. Thanks!

The note does mention Nook Study as a PC app that should be able to read the book.

The page I looked at simply says "... The cartoons in this e-book have been specially formatted for optimal viewing. The e-book will only work on color tablets and is not intended for viewing on desktop apps." No mention of NOOK Study.

You have to click on the question mark next to "Available on Nook devices and apps" (on top of the page, to the right side of the price).
