    NST/NSTG Library books

So, you can now borrow books from libraries directly from your Nook Color, Nook Tablet, and either of the Nook HD devices.  This is done via one of two apps, either OverDrive or something from 3M.

Now, aside from being an app, there is no reason this can't be adapted from the NST and NSTG.  Both devices already allow linking to Facebook, Google, Yahoo, and Twitter accounts.  As many people know you used to be able to access the web via the NST if you knew the exact URL for the site, I believe this has been disabled now.

Essentially all that needs to be done is the backend of those apps needs to be added to allow you to register your library account, or ADE account with the NST/NSTG.  Throw a new option at the bottom of the screen called 'Borrow' have that open to a window with both the 3M and OverDrive options that then link to the same page that would load in the NC, NT, and NHD/+ devices.

I'm surprised this feature was not added in the recent 1.2 update, which really seems to be fairly minimal in terms of new features.

Since it's so easy why don't you suggest it directly to B&N?  I'm sure they would be more than glad to have you implement it for them.

Show me an update for the NST that wasn't.  In fact, show me an update for the NST that didn't eliminate features, didn't break anything or wasn't a fix for something a previous update broke.

Merc, you have to also keep in mind that the screen refresh rate on e-ink displays is VERY VERY slow.  The user experience wouldn't be very pleasent.

B&N seems very focused on keeping the NST a "reader" and not a "baby tablet" with all sorts of apps.  I can easily add library books using my computer and it's a LOT faster than waiting for screen update after screen update.
