    DVDCatalyst

I had converted 40 of my movies to MP4's using your software, and they worked beautifully on the Nookcolor. I sideloaded the update. Now, as you and a bunch of others are aware, the movies stutter and the audio/video is out of sync.

I read your other thread, about you speaking to B&N, and supposedly a patch is on the way for 1.2.

Should I wait for that patch, or does de-registering the NC work?  I never rooted, by the way.  I'm a little worried about de-registering after reading some threads where people ran into problems.  And will this fix the problem or not?

      Thanks!

          Hi Dec17,

The update is a bit of a problem, and I have been in contact with B&N on this, and they are working with the chip-manufacturer in order to fix the issue.

Last week, my NOOKcolor was hit with the reset-issue (like many people) and this did improve video playback a bit, however, its not perfect.

A reset is fairly easy to do (turn your nook completely off, turn it back on, and then hold the power button until it shuts down before it actually completely loads. do this 8 times, and your NC will rewrite its firmware. You will lose anything that is not stored on SD though), but you will have to do the re-registering.

I did root numerous times, messed around with other firmwares, and actually never de-registered the device. I just set it back up again and it registered just fine.

It will not fix the issue, but it will reduce some issues with video playback.
