    Download issues with version 1.4.1?

      I tried downloading the new version1.4.1 and followed the instructions.  After downloading the version and drag and drop the zip file to the Main directory, still after hours of doing so, notice no change and no update?  I tried erasing and downloading the update various times and let the equipment idle and nothing happen.   Does anyone experienced the same situation?  Did someone had success in installing the update?  Is it worth while?

          I had the same issues and tried to get help from customer support without any luck.  Main suggestion was to "wait" which I have been doing since Monday.  I guess if I wait long enough eventually I’ll get the Over the Air update and can remove the 200MB .zip that is taking up space currently.

              I had the same problem. I downloaded the .ZIP using Safari on my Mac. Copied the file to the Nook and waited. Nothing. I shutdown the Nook Color and started it up again. Still no update. I then fully charged the Nook and left it sit on my desk overnight disconnected from the computer and the charger. The next day it had updated. The .ZIP was gone from the Nook "media" drive. I guess it takes many hours for the Nook to realize the update is there.

                My attempt to download 1.4.1 using the Firefox browser failed.  I got the message:

                 

                There is NO DISK in the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive \Device\Hardware\DR13.

                 

                Since I do not have that path on my computer, I assume the path is supposed to be in the NC. My NC was properly connected to my PC. The PC recognized th NC and opened the folder to view files using the Windows Explorer.

                 

                I do not have a micro-SD card. Is a micro-SD card required for this download?

                  I am so frustrated. I have tried SEVERAL times to download the update from two different computers. NOthing happens. I took it to a Barnes and Noble and they tried twice and could not get the update. i was told to wait for the rolling downloads.

                  I am just not too happy right now.

                  And I have gone to the web page to get the zip drive so many times and wonder why they have a spelling error in the address for the page- sotware update, really?

                    After 2 evenings of getting nowhere with the install, I decided to deregister and erase.  Once I got it back up, I copied and pasted the download.  Nook went to sleep and started the install. Worked like a dream!

                      Relax. Millions of Nooks in use and everybody wants to download at the same time, of coarse there will be some problems.

                        I also had the same experience with this update. Spending close to an hour with the BAN 'expert'. He suggested I do a reset or go to a BAN store for support. This has also been a frustrating experience. I decided to wait and see what happens going forward.

                          I downloaded the 1.4.1 upgrade with some difficulty. I wish that I hadn't because my navigation buttons have gone away. I cannot do anything but read e-mail and the current book that I am reading. I guess I'll be visiting a B&N store because no one is available for online support when I have time to hang online with them for an hour. I am so frustrated.

                            I had a similar issue. I had a lot of apps and books in my library. I had to archive everything and erase my NC in order to free up space for the update. Then you should be able to download it yourself.

                              I had the same problem I tried installing about ten times using firefox and got mad, actually had to walk away for a bit, I mean all I wanted to do was watch netflix, but to fix the problem I switched from firefox browser to Internet explorer, fallowed all the directions and it worked. The problem is the internet browser I guess.
