NT portable battery compatibility (Technical Question)

I just bought a nook tablet and I adore the thing. I will be doing some traveling (15+ hours) and bought a portable rechargable battery with 4k amp-hour capacity and an amperage rating of 1.5A per usb port.

I noticed the nook charges verrrry slowly when I connect it- probably because the nook charger is designed for a 2 amp input. My question is: Is the tablet charging slowly becaused of the reduced amperage input, or because it detects that it is not hooked up to an official nook charger?

I ask this because I found a 10KaH battery on amazon that delivers a full 2 amps per usb port, and if this will give me a quicker charge, I may swap the chargers out.
