- You can sideload ePub (non DRM) files into our app and read them using the following steps:
§ Connect (Mount) your phone to your PC or Mac to access the folder structure
§ Open the Nook Folder
§ Open the My Documents Folder
§ Drag any ePub files into the folder
§ Disconnect your phone from PC or Mac
§ Open NOOK for Android app
§ From the home screen, select the “my files” button
§ You should be then able to open and read any of your files
o At this time, only ePub files are supported, we are evaluating adding support for other types (pdf, pdb, etc).
I know this doesn't answer the question you asked, but do you have WiFi access? If so, you could let the nook app download the books when you're on WiFi so you can read them later.
How limited is your data plan? Books are pretty small, relatively speaking.
My data plan is 150mb, and I do have wifi and 3G so I may try that at some time just see how much data it takes. but like I said I really don't want to download them.
