I believe it's 1.2.1, that's the last update I've seen anyway.
Apple says we need 2.1.0 or > in order to read digital MacWorld ....
will that even load on BNRV300, now with 1.1.0 ??
Thx for your response !!
(posting in both threads that you started)
First of all the Macworld listing for Nook shows that every Nook is compatible.
I'm going to assume that whatever you read for Macworld requirements is for Android version 2.1 and the Nook Simple Touch does indeed run Android 2.1 as seen on the side bar here.
The Nook Simple Touch software is currently version 1.2.1 which has nothing to do with the Android version that it uses. This is the Nook software itself.

jive: this is where the 2.1.0 came from for the Nook .....
the original question was about the NST. This listing you just posted is for the HD. Completely different devices. That's like asking if running E-85 in your '57 Chevy is ok just since your '14 Silverado flexfuel truck will run on it.
I think I(dum) got it .....
The N-HD,2.1.0 is 'Completely different device' fr my N-BNVR300,1.1.0 .....i.e. needs 1.2.1 .
God for bid I use E85(alc) in my 57;(carb, lines, pump, etc.) shame-on-me & $$'s ...
thx's again ....., GOD(Good-Old-David)
