No Microsoft App Support for Nook HD+

    romaVA

this purchase has been a headache since the very begenning. I bought this Nook HD+ In my college B&N as they had them sitting right next to a sign for NOOK Univerity. I purchased the Nook only to discover later that for some insane reason they had named the text book app after the NOOK but the text books where not actually usable on the NOOK WTF?!?!?! .... After getting over this I figured I could at least use it in class to take notes and so forth.....WRONG AGIAN... The Nook has no compatability with any of the office application produced by the largest and most used software company in the history of the world (microsoft) So I cant use my office online App. I cant Use my OneNote or any other office function. Also the selection of office applications avialable through the app store is non exsistant to none. I see now that you have discontinued the NOOK HD+ line and opted for the galaxy note. Since this software is no longer bieng developed could you please for the love of god almighty allow access to Microsoft applications that can be used on every other electronic smart device in exsistance except for the NOOK.

I just checked and there IS a OneNote app (by Microsoft) availalbe in the Google Play Store (which you can access from your HD+).  Further, there are a number of apps that read/write Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).  Lastly, there is a OneDrive app that lets you sync all of your files to allow them to be visible on your PC.

I'm not sure what your compaints are -- there is, in fact, the ability to perform Office functions, including OneNote and Office formats, available in Google Play -- OneNote and OneDriver are written by Microsoft.

P.S. I just installed OneNote on both my HD+ and my Windows PC, and synching is flawless between the two via my OneDrive account.

Thank you.  I was trying to clarify what the real situation is with Android and Microsoft software relative to the complaints the OP had.

P.S. The OneNote synching is amazingly fast -- like seconds.  I updated the note on my HD+ and immediately checked the PC OneNote windows, and it update before my eyes.

when i tried to install the One Note app on my HD+, i got an indication that my device is not compatible - how did you get it to install?

                  Thanks!
