Android tablet 7" with NOOK app vs Sammie 7, access to NOOK apps purchased

If I buy an Android tablet instead of the Sammie 7,  and install the NOOK app, will I have access to all the games that I have bought from the Nook store through the Nook app?  My HD battery is dying and I need to replace it.

No, you have to buy the Sammie Nook. I have a Samsung Tab S android tablet with the Nook app and I can see them listed in my library, but I can't install them.

Just how many apps did you pay money for from B&N? How often do you use them? How much would it be to replace them at Google Play?

Frankly, this issue never crossed my mind since I get all my apps via Google play. I did get some free apps from B&N when I had my Nook HD, but I don't bother with them on my Samsung Nook since it doesn't have enough device storage. I barely have room for the few apps I do have that can't be moved.

I would highly recommend getting a non-Nook Android tablet with as much device storage as you can get and just replacing your apps.

              Hello!

I don't mean to rehash this again but when the time comes for me to replace my NOOK HD+ I need to know a few things from the experts on this forum.

If I buy a Samsung Tablet (not from B&N), I can have the B & N app for reading all the books I own, yes or no

Any apps I've bought from Google Play will need to be repurchased, yes or no (most of my stuff has been free versions)

Any apps from B & N won't work on the Samsung, yes or no (this is no big, since I won't be out much money)

Samsung or ipad?  I've got an iphone, so does it make better sense to go with the ipad, yes or no

              Thanks!

              Cathy

If you buy any Android tablet (not just Samsung) or iPad, you can read your Nook books via the Nook app.

If you buy any Android tablet, you do not need to repurchase any apps that you bought through Google play. They are available for you to download to any Android device registered to your Google account.

The choice between iPad and any Android tablet is personal. An iPad will integrate with your iPhone, but it is expensive. If you go with an Android tablet, you will have a lot of makes and models to choose from. If you decide to switch to an Android phone in the future, that phone will integrate with your tablet. Again, it's all about preference.

Wow, this is great news and I'm hoping that when the day comes to replace my NOOK it will go as planned.  I'm not sure if I would give up my iphone though.  As long as I can read the books I purchased I'll be happy, as for the apps I've bought on Google Play there really is no reason to switch.  I don't see Apple product prices go down much, but I could start watching them.

I see some issues with SD cards, so I hope I don't have to deal with that on a new Samsung.  I'm not going to be loyal to B & N tablets, 3 is enough to go through since 2012.  I am happy with Android though, it's been wonderful, but the device from B & N has been a let down.  Time to move on.

Thanks for your time in answering my questions, it's been a huge help in my decision.
